You have booked your trip to an all-inclusive resort.  You are excited to be able to relax and have fun on your trip.  Here are some things you might want to prepare prior to or during your trip.

#1 Airport Transportation

Be sure to arrange for transportation from the airport to your resort ahead of time.  If you did not, you can always stop at the transportation desk at the airport to make some arrangements.

#2 Safe

Make sure to lock up all your valuables. Most resorts have in-room safe but check with them to see if there are ones big enough to place your laptop in.

#3 Activities and Excursions

Book activities within the resort and excursions in advance.  Nothing is worse than wanting to do an activity/ excursion and not able to as there was no availability.

#4 Bring Small Bills

Don’t forget to tip! Check your resort if tipping is ok.  Even though the resort is all-inclusive, tipping may be allowed.  Also, don’t forget to tip the tour guides and cab drivers if you opt for excursions.

#5 Pace Yourself

Just because you can eat and drink all you can does not mean you should overindulge.  Pace yourself and you would be able to enjoy your stay. You don’t want to get sick or drunk from overindulging.  You want to enjoy your vacation and you obviously cannot do that if you are not feeling well.

#6 Calendar of Events

Ask for a calendar of activities at check-in. You would be able to plan your stay and enjoy some fun activities you may not have anticipated.

#7 Make Dinner Reservations

Make dinner reservations ahead of time.  Most all-inclusive resorts have multiple restaurants.  Some of these restaurants require reservations and have certain timeframes as to when you can make these reservations.

Following these tips may help you get the most out of your trip.

  1. These are all great tips! I have never been to an all-inclusive resort but I have been on cruises and from what it sounds like they are almost the same. I have been a victim of waiting too long to reserve an excursion and there not being any availability. These tips are so useful and I hope more people read them! Good luck to you and thanks for sharing!
