When I first started this challenge, I learned Always Eat After 7 PM has debunked all the diet myths I have been taught and shared my goals on what I wanted to achieve with. Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.
My goal is to be the best version of myself: To see myself having more energy, eat right and not feel bloated or sluggish, and ultimately lose weight.
The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good. I shared in-depth here on who Joel Marion is and why I chose this diet.
Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7 PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of the reasons for resistance. I start out every morning with one of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals. Lemon water is a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function. It is so simple yet so refreshing and beneficial. It is also easy for me as I normally skip breakfast anyways.
I am definitely feeling a lot better since starting this diet. I have noticed having increased energy, a focused mind and not feeling bloated. On top of this, I am losing some weight.
Check out this video below as Joel shares with us some of his favorite recipes included in the book.
The reason why I love this program is how easy it is to follow the meal planning and the many recipes included. With that many recipes, there are definitely options anywhere from quick and easy to some that may take a bit longer to prep and cook. I personally love the quick and easy ones with my busy schedule.
Here are a couple of ones that I wanted to highlight.
Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet Chili Loaded Baked Potato
I love that these two recipes highlights the beef and potato as it again debunks the myth that red meat and white starch is bad for you. This looks absolutely delicious.
No Bake Salted Caramel Bar Fruit Tart Cherry Garcia Ice Cream
Um, did Joel say I can have desserts and eat it too? I don’t know about you but I am a “sweet” person all around. My weakness for sure. I am so happy to have found these recipes. Not only are they healthy for you, but they are also super simple to make. I can’t ask for anything more when I can have these yummy desserts!
I will have to say my favorite so far is the Chicken “Spaghetti” Skillet. Zucchini noodles or “zoodles” are used as a substitute for regular noodles but without the carbs. With summer here and zucchinis will soon be abundance here, I don’t mind having this all summer long. And the plus side to this one is how easy it is to make… All in 10-15 minutes! You can’t beat that.
The other reason why I love this program is the chapter on mindset. Joel believes that there are 10 essential mindset strategies related to the success of this program and life as a whole. Mindset is so important! I still struggle with this and so happy to see that it’s included in the book. This is a must-read chapter of the book before you start on the diet.
- Believe you can and lose the excuses
- Excommunicate negative people from your life
- Live in the present
- Redefine who you are
- Start
- Develop a simple morning routine
- Allow yourself bad moments, not bad days
- Recognize failure as a teacher, not a final destination
- Own your results
- Briefly celebrate success, then move one
