My goal is to be the best version of myself.  I would love to see myself having more energy, eat right, not feel bloated or sluggish, and ultimately losing weight.  Isn’t that most everyone’s ultimate goal?  A struggle in itself when you are completely overwhelmed trying to balance everything life hands at you.

These findings led the researchers to conclude that eating breakfast isn’t necessarily a good strategy for losing weight. The science isn’t really there. It is quite profound to learn from him what is so opposite of what I have been taught. I am both intrigued and fascinated to know there is something out there that can be so easy as this and it is not restrictive at all.

What inspired Joel to write this book?

After authoring 6 best selling books it was glaringly obvious there were 2 huge misconceptions about dieting that needed to be exposed. The first is that you can’t eat late at night or before bed, which science now shows is NOT true. And second, you can’t eat large portions that satisfy your natural instinct. This book solves both these problems by providing an evidence-based, enjoyable approach to dieting that can be used by any person to quickly achieve their weight loss goals.

How long did it take for Joel to develop the diet?

It actually took several years of researching for Joel to discover the real science of eating late at night. After a few years of tweaking and refining, he finally came up with a rapid fat loss solution that overcomes all the pitfalls of traditional diets.

What was the most surprising discovery when Joel was researching scientific data for the diet?

That almost everything his college education and certifications taught him was NOT grounded in published scientific research.

What is different about this book compared to his others?

Although many of the concepts are similar, the biggest difference is that you don’t have to deprive yourself of your favorite foods. You don’t have to deal with the burden of eating every few hours. And you don’t have to skip the carbs at dinnertime or avoid eating before bed.

  1. This is such an interesting diet! I’ve always heard that you should finish eating a couple hours before bed, but I always crave dessert, so this is definitely something I’ll be looking into!

  2. I do fasting through an 18 hour window so I NEVER eat past 5 or 6, so this diet is the total opposite of my world here. Really interesting perspective though, thank you for sharing.

  3. It’s very validating to read that eating after 7pm is in line with your body’s natural instincts. I feel like this is a great factor to consider when choosing a diet or new lifestyle plan!

  4. The fact that you don’t feel deprived of anything makes this a great plan for me! If I feel like I’m too restricted then I won’t follow through, so this one sounds great!
