Guess what! I was nominated not only once but three times for the Sunshine Blogger Award all within a 2 day period. Friday morning I was checking my emails and I received an email from In The Olive Groves notifying me I have been nominated. A couple of hours later I was tagged in a Facebook post by Meals and Miles Marker of the nomination. The very next day, I was tagged in another Facebook post notifying me of my third nomination by Our USA Adventures.
During our trip to France last spring, my carry-on bag busted at the wheels and zippers making it a bit difficult. Fortunately for us, we were visiting family there so we were able to “borrow” one of their suitcases to help us get through our trip. I believe their suitcase is still sitting in my basement. I may have to send it with my mother-in-law when she goes for a visit in a couple of weeks. While I have been meaning to purchase a new one, there are just so many options out there that I just couldn’t decide.
I don’t know about you but I struggle every day with eating healthy, staying fit and losing weight.
I have been on so many fad diets out there. I have followed many fitness gurus online. Many that promised you x amount of weight loss in x amount of time. And you have no idea how many online workout plans or home workout DVDs I have purchased. I have tried Weight Watchers and Medifast. I even joined a local gym for some time. Nothing was sustainable. Or better yet, I was not sustaining any of them.
Thank you Minnesota Children’s Museum for sponsoring this post. Minnesota Children’s Museum provided us with tickets to explore and enjoy the museum. All opinions are my own.
Minnesota Children’s Museum is located in downtown Saint Paul and opens all year round. It has three floors of fun for kids to explore and run around. The boys are super excited to spend a day at the Minnesota Children’s Museum. We have been there many times before and they always enjoy their time there. Each time is always a different experience. Be prepared to be here for at least 2-3 hours. This would allow the kids ample time to explore all there is to offer and really be able to enjoy it.
When was the last time you went out on a date with your spouse? Life happens and before you know it, kids and other priorities took over. You are running all over town with their activities and not even having a moment to yourself to breathe. You wonder whatever happened to “us” and how can we rekindle our romance.
We had decided to take a long weekend trip without the kids for my big 40. We have never traveled without them and was super hesitant to be away from them for that long. I mean, who does that? Leaving their kids behind while having fun. Well, I am glad we did and will continue to take breaks from our kids. We all need a break and reconnect with ourselves and each other.
Whoever told you marriage is easy was lying! It is hard work that requires time, commitment, communication, respect, and love. There will be times that you just want to throw your hands up in the air and walk away from it all. Trust me. We have had our fair share of ups and down. And no doubt will continue to work on the many challenges that may come our way. There is no such thing as a perfect marriage.
