Are you confused with what the actual definition of self-care? Many are even though the term sounds incredibly simple. The truth of the matter is, self-care encompasses an uncomplicated yet multi-faceted meaning. In the simplest of terms, it is care provided by you, for you.
I think you will agree with me that we could all use some words of inspiration or motivation. I know I do! We all need that quote of the day to keep pushing forward. We face difficulties and hard times in our life. These difficulties can break our spirit and bring us down and makes us feel uninspired.
I don’t know about you but I have mixed feelings about August. Why? I love summer breaks and having my kids home. Taking a break from our busy schedule where we can relax. At the same time, August always creep up on me reminding me about all the things I have to do to get them ready for back to school. I feel like summer just really got going and before I know it, it will be gone.
I don’t know about you but I struggle every day with eating healthy, staying fit and losing weight.
I have been on so many fad diets out there. I have followed many fitness gurus online. Many that promised you x amount of weight loss in x amount of time. And you have no idea how many online workout plans or home workout DVDs I have purchased. I have tried Weight Watchers and Medifast. I even joined a local gym for some time. Nothing was sustainable. Or better yet, I was not sustaining any of them.
