Taking into consideration that physical health is often dictated by mental health, it would be wise to take care of the latter seriously. In our busy day-to-day routine, it can be hard to remember that mental health is important, and it can be even harder to know where to start. Do you ever feel like you are running on overload and not having time to stop and take a breath? Self-care is much more than simply pampering yourself. It’s you taking care of you. Think of all the things on a daily basis most of us do for others. Work duties, chores at home, family time, etc. All these things you do for others surely do not help you if you don’t take care of yourself first.

I don’t know about you but I have mixed feelings about August. Why? I love summer breaks and having my kids home. Taking a break from our busy schedule where we can relax. At the same time, August always creep up on me reminding me about all the things I have to do to get them ready for back to school. I feel like summer just really got going and before I know it, it will be gone.
I don’t know about you but I struggle every day with eating healthy, staying fit and losing weight.
I have been on so many fad diets out there. I have followed many fitness gurus online. Many that promised you x amount of weight loss in x amount of time. And you have no idea how many online workout plans or home workout DVDs I have purchased. I have tried Weight Watchers and Medifast. I even joined a local gym for some time. Nothing was sustainable. Or better yet, I was not sustaining any of them.
